Voluntary Services
Share and Care – a community transport scheme for patients of  the Wellbridge Practice

Share & Care is a group of your neighbours who volunteer to drive housebound patients without transport to their medical appointments or to deliver medicines to you from Boots or the practice.

Medical appointments can be to the surgery, optician, podiatrist, dentist, etc. whether in Wool, Wareham, Dorchester, Poole or Bournemouth.

A driver will pick you up from your home (any of the villages) and take you home.

Their time is given freely but we ask for a contribution towards their fuel. (Currently 45p per driver’s mile; so Wool to Dorchester return = about £10.)

Please ring our mobile (below), giving us 3 or 4 days notice at least.  Messages are picked up regularly between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We are here to help.   If you wish to become one of our volunteers please ring our mobile – satisfaction guaranteed.
