Test results
If you have undergone a test at the hospital, please contact the hospital directly for any enquiries regarding your test results. Our practice is not equipped to provide updates on tests conducted externally. You may wish to start with the secretary for the doctor/specialty in question, and ideally have to hand the DATE of the test itself. Some imaging reports can take weeks to be processed.
It is in fact the duty of the requesting doctor (GP or consultant) to let patients know the outcome of any tests performed whether they be normal or otherwise.
If you have a general enquiry e.g. requesting test results, we shall be pleased to help you if you telephone 01929 462376 AFTER 2.00pmMonday to Thursday and AFTER 2.30pm on Fridays.
Please do not ring during morning surgery as we are too busy to check for you at this time and you will be asked to call back.
If you have online services you can check test results online, please see the online services page for more information.
If you have a query regarding your medication you can speak to a Dispenser on their direct telephone line 01929 401265 at the following times:
- Mornings 9.00am – 10.30am
- Afternoons 2.30pm – 3.30pm
(Please do not telephone the main surgery number with medication queries at other times as reception staff are not able to help you and you will be asked to call back).
When your test is taken you will be told how long it will be before the results are likely to be returned to the practice. Doctors will always endeavour to inform patients of abnormal results (assuming a review appointment had not already been suggested). However, it remains your responsibility to check your results with reception.
Please be aware: Test results take time to reach us, so please do not ring before you have been advised to do so. (Please ring 01929 462376 after 2pm Mon – Thurs and after 2.30pm on Fri for results of tests and general enquiries)
