NEW FOR ALL GP APPOINTMENTS
All requests for GP appointments will be triaged by a GP in the first instance. The GP will make a decision on the best course of action depending on the medical need. We kindly ask that you complete the online form which is most suitable to your request and submit it. online request form
Once the GP has read your request they can make one of the following decisions: (this list is not exhaustive)
- provide you with a GP appointment
- provide you with an appointment with a more appropriate healthcare professional (i.e. in-house pharmacist, first contact physio, mental health practitioner)
- refer you to a local community pharmacy
- offer self-help advice
You can still speak to our reception team to seek an appointment but they will not be able to offer you one. Instead they will take as much information as possible from you and submit a request to the triage GP. It is important that you provide as much information as as you can to the receptionist so the GP can make an appropriate decision. Remember all our staff are bound by the strictest confidentiality and you can always ask to speak to them in private when in the surgery building.
